Endometrial Preparation for Cryotransfer

Creating the Best Environment for Your Baby

In our clinic, we know that every pregnancy begins long before the positive test. For the embryo to have the best conditions for implantation, it is essential that the endometrium (the inner layer of the uterus) is in its optimal condition.

Endometrial preparation for cryotransfer is a key step in assisted reproduction treatments, as it allows receiving a frozen embryo at the best moment of the cycle.

There is increasing scientific evidence that endometrial preparation may be a determining factor in the health of the future pregnancy. In bLIVF we bet for endometrial preparation in natural cycle as the best method to prepare the uterus in the case of all those women who have regular cycles.

How is the endometrium prepared?

Depending on the individual woman, endometrial preparation can be done in two ways:

How is the endometrium prepared?

For women with regular cycles and spontaneous ovulation.

  • The growth of the ovarian follicle is monitored by ultrasound and hormone analysis.
  • When the follicle reaches the appropriate size and ovulation is confirmed naturally, the embryo transfer is scheduled on the optimal days.
  • This method allows the body to regulate the process physiologically, without the need for additional medication.

For women with irregular cycles or without ovulation.

  • Estrogen is administered in tablets or patches to make the endometrium grow to the appropriate thickness.
  • Subsequently, progesterone is added to prepare the uterus and simulate natural implantation conditions.
  • The transfer is scheduled at the optimal time, ensuring that the endometrium is fully receptive and hormone levels are optimal.

Once the endometrium is prepared, the embryo is thawed and transferred to the uterus in a simple and painless procedure. After a few days, a pregnancy test is performed to confirm implantation.

Every body is different, so in our clinic we customize the endometrial preparation according to your needs, making sure that your uterus is in the conditions to receive your embryo. We accompany you with a close and warm follow-up at every stage, because your dream of becoming a mother deserves the best care.
